Autumn 2016 the hurricane Matthew hit Haiti with full force. It crushed everything in its way, the consequences was worst for those who had least.
“Matthew” is an animated short doc based on interviews with Haitians, primarily young people on the threshold of adulthood. They talk about their experiences when the hurricane hit the country, and about the future in light of the climate challenges. It is a story about belonging and strength, but also about vulnerable people's encounter with climate-induced disaster.
Høsten 2016 traff orkanen Matthew Haiti med all sin styrke. Den knuste alt som kom i dens vei, og verst gikk det ut over de som hadde minst.
«Matthew» er en animert kortdokumentar basert på intervjuer med haitianere, først og fremst unge mennesker på terskelen til voksenlivet. De snakker om sine opplevelser da orkanen traff landet, og om fremtiden sett i lys av klimautfordringene. «Matthew» er en fortelling om tilhørighet og styrke, men også om sårbare menneskers møte med klimaskapte katastrofe
